BuddyPress.org

And now it’s fixed!

https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/3572

Good catch!

Yes. But what type of field was it you “cleared” that still caused the group to show up?

I tried it with a text field on http://testbp.org and it didn’t seem to occur. Can you try there?

This doesn’t happen automatically. Someone is clicking a button, or you’ve got a plugin that’s doing this for you

If you leave out the “%s” in the message body, then those details will be left out. Working on a new version to make this more user friendly, too.

I’ve seen other plugins interfere with both before, yes. Hopefully not Achievements and Labs, though! Working on a new version which will be out next week, so if there are any old bugs, they’ll be picked up in […]

We fixed this in BuddyPress 1.5

Imma gonna blame those dots

It works on our testbp.org site: http://testbp.org/author/johnjamesjacoby/

Also, what exactly are these three users’ user names?

I’ve not built anything myself; it wouldn’t be hard for a good programmer to add this bespoke functionality for you, assuming there’s a good wp quiz plugin. Which one are you referring to, out of interest?

BuddyPress must be in: wp-content/plugins/buddypress/

It looks like you’ve put it in wp-content/plugins/1.5-beta-3/

If you’re meaning the private messaging; then, no. That’s internal only.

It worked? Gosh, not bad 🙂
