Enabling a group forum just sets, if I remember, a group meta value. You could set those on with a SQL query.

I can’t see why any plugins for the new bbPress plugin would not work when running on a site with BuddyPress. It’s plugins, all the way down 🙂

ah wait, Welcome Pack, right? If you can’t get it working, it might be that the plugin’s broken. I will try to take a look in the next few weeks, but i have other work with more priority to clear first.

Achievements *could* work with any plugin. Does it, out of the box? No, because I don’t have those premium plugins and don’t want to support plugins without free versions in Achievements.

Are you using multisite? Im afraid I haven’t updated Welcome Pack for a very long time (my bad), and it possibly still needs some upgrades that WordPress 3.1 required.

We’re not touching the bbPress standalone code any more. Any new forum stuff will be provided by bbPress plugin. Can the bbPress plugin do this? If so, you have your answer.

Which plugin exactly? Unless it’s a BuddyPress-specific plugin, you’re best to contact the author via the wordpress.org forums for any support.

Don’t bump your posts until nearer 48 hours after posting.

The widget uses bp_get_member_avatar(). (bp-core-templatetags.php, about line 314). I would not recommend changing a core file because it will be lost when you upgrade to a new version of BuddyPress.

Primarily because it makes the URL match that of the component that generated the activity. If you think search engines have issues with 302 redirects, I would be very surprised, but if you can provide some evidence and make a ticket on https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/, we can see if there’s anything that we can do.
