There ought to not be any conflicts. How do your users log in? Do you have any plugins running? (that list of “Help us help you” on the Achievements admin page would be helpful) Achievement progress status only starts to be displayed once the user *starts* making progress, and the ‘this many times’ count is […]

Closing this topic because it is a fact Mashable are not running BuddyPress. End of story.

Yes, you did also post it via the support form; it’s sitting in my inbox 🙂
I’ll reply to this here as soon as I can

Because of how plugins’ templating works in the current version of BuddyPress, you’ll need to copy the templates out of the subfolder in the achievements plugin into your theme, and then make whatever changes are required in terms of matching up the HTML and CSS, etc. I am looking to improving this situation for future […]

is_user_member_of_blog() is part of WordPress with multisite enabled. The bp-community-blogs plugin appears to require multisite.
To get your site back, rename the /plugins/bp-community-blogs folder to something else and visit yoursite.com/wp-admin/plugins.php.

Weird. It’s tough to try to diagnose unless you can find any logs. Let me know if you spot anything else.

If you’re after just a forum, check out the new bbPress plugin: https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bbpress/

I’m not aware of problems. If the tables weren’t created, *something* would have gone into a log file.

As an aside, we’re going to use custom post types and therefore a lot of the regular WordPress loop in BP 1.4.

For the future, if it would be appropriate for the bundled BuddyPress theme to have an options panel (with the same type of idea as twentyeleven), I think it could make sense. However, always keep in mind Decisions not options . But for BP 1.3, bearing in mind that we want to have a beta as soon […]

It will be integrated over the next few weeks and months. For now, to use bbPress plugin, I suggest you disable group forums until the bridge has been built.

If you set an event that requires something to happen multiple times, once a person starts making progress, when they visit that achievement’s page, they see a progress bar

I know how hard it *should* have been, I was asking @svenl77 if it was 😉 But that appears to have been answered, thanks 😉

@johnjamesjacoby Do you have edit access on the wp.org trac, or can you get the SQL used for the reports? There used to be a way to sneak them out, which is how I added some of them to bp.org trac, but it’s not possible anymore!

The tricky bit is that we don’t have an API for getting BuddyPress data out of it programatically… yet(?).

@svenl77 Hi. Once you’ve made your changes, create a patch, and then upload to https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ (you will need to make a new ticket — one ticket per patch/idea). Then one of the core team will take a look and give feedback/commit as necessary. As @dennissmolek said, if a child theme has customised, for example single.php, it is […]

Anyone interested in UI should keep an eye on tickets marked as needing UI input: https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/query?status=%21closed&keywords=~needs-ui
Perhaps we can add some more reports to the Trac. Are there any on https://core.trac.wordpress.org/report that you would find useful on the BuddyPress trac?
EDIT: just added report 17…[Read more]
