“Control panel” doesn’t appear in BuddyPress. I guess that’s part of your theme, or another plugin?

@karmatosed @mercime @bowromir @hnla and anyone else interested in contributing to BP-Default 1.3: Mercime has generously done a wp.org-style theme review of BP-Default. I’ve created tickets on trac. The master ticket is https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/3241 I may add a few more tickets once Mercime has clarified a few details. If you…[Read more]

@gunju2221 jjj has built the new version of bbPress, and obviously integration of that into BuddyPress is planned. Have you checked out the bbPress test installation on http://testbp.org/discussion ? RE: a BuddyPress UI team. People who are interested in contributing in this way need to have shown their interest by contributing to theme and UI…[Read more]

Brajesh, sounds like a great idea. As you know, early BP used to have a country field type. RE: query; if that’s the case on trunk, it’d be super to patch that part for 1.3.

@cnorris23 I would suggest that anyone looking into moving where the data is stored in the database hold off a little while, until the core team have a plan about how custom post types will work and be implemented for each of the components. We have had lots of discussions about custom post types for BuddyPress, […]

BP-Default 1.3’s CSS is mine. @mercime has recently identified a number of issues which I am working through; if anyone wants to look at it with me, get in contact soon.

Paul Gibbs posted on the forum topic Pagination numbers in the group How-To and Troubleshooting: 14 years, 10 months ago
You need to change mid_size (I think) on all the calls to paginate_links(). There may or may not be a filter in WordPress core to let you do this without changing core, I haven’t looked

Again — the group blog plugin requires multisite. You can enable BP Group Blog all you want, but unless you have multisite enabled, you will always get this problem. Yes, this means the BP Group Blog plugin isn’t very well written, but that’s not core’s fault.

PDX came on IRC. For the benefit of Google, PDX is running on a server with the Confixx panel installed. It appears to do something funny with the Apache rules for .htaccess files, causing a 403 error on the entire domain (NOT just the WordPress specific files). http://wp.uberdose.com/2004/03/05/confixx-and-htaccess-and-mod_rewrite-403/ seemed to help

The group blog plugin requires multisite. To fix for now, rename /wp-content/plugins/ and then visit /wp-admin/plugins.php in your web browser. Then you can rename the plugins folder back, then you’ll have to reactivate your original plugins again.
