I’ve just spent half an hour testing this, and it works fine. Where are you trying to use it? It has to be within the members loop (for example, put the line into bp-default/members/members-loop.php to test).

sccUsername is nothing to do with BuddyPress. I can’t find anything easily on Google. Have you any other plugins running?

If you’re trying to make that part affect only the site that BuddyPress is active on (or in the case of multisite, its main blog), compare $current_blog->blog_id to BP_ROOT_BLOG.

This is a problem with the plugin, which hasn’t been updated for the current version of BuddyPress. You’re best to contact one of the authors and ask if an update is happening.

You need to customise the WordPress theme to work with BuddyPress. This is too involved to go into in this message, but if you search/post on the forums, you will find some information.

My view on this is that regular people don’t know what RSS is, let alone use it. The user should have a central option to control who can see their activity on the site, regardless of how it is exposed (i.e HTML or XML). I too am looking forward to seeing how Jeff’s plugin works […]

  The crop only works if IE8 is set to “compatibility mode” which is a major problem for this side of the world. It looks like an issue with the jcrop script. Please let me know if you encounter any solutions.

The site shares the main WordPress.org user database. All of the spam signups won’t have originated from this site. However AFAIK only @apeatling and @johnjamesjacoby have Admin access to the backend here.

There’s a known issue where the bbPress tables don’t install as UTF8. I’m not sure if it’s a BuddyPress bug or a bbPress bug. Either way, the solution is to convert those tables’ encoding in your database. Be sure to backup first.
