Hmm. Your best bet is to save the user preferences on a particular user, and then look at the records in the wp_usermeta table. Look at meta_keys beginning with “notification_”. If you’ve got a large site you might find it time well spent to build a script to do the SQL inserts/updates for you.

BuddyPress 1.2.5x hasn’t really been built with the WordPress 3.0 menu system in mind. I know we’ve got some page title bugs on a WordPress network/WPMU install which I hope to get time to fix in a couple of weeks so this might clear up then.

Yes, just go into the Buddypress settings after you install it and disable all the other components. FYI a more descriptive topic title would be appreciated for any future posts?

Depends where/how the string is in the code. Give it a go, otherwise you’ll need to add afilter and customise the string that way with a few lines of code.

Have a look at https://codex.buddypress.org/how-to-guides/customizing-labels-messages-and-urls/ — a little complicated to understand how to do it the first time, but recommended.
