To answer the OP’s question: No, the buddypress.org theme will not be shared.

I’m not aware of anything.

Have a look at bp_dtheme_add_custom_header_support() in the default theme’s functions.php.

Yeah, it’s the Help in the extreme top-right of most WordPress admin pages (there’s actually quite a lot of useful text hidden away, but I wonder too how many people are aware that it is there).

Kickstarter seems really awesome, but, you have to have an American bank account to set up a project. A lot of BuddyPress plugin authors, myself included, seem to be based outside America. I’ve not found any European alternatives.

For those following at home, do_action( ‘bbpress_init’ ) is the code that loads all the bbPress classes and access into memory.

If you’re moving to WPMU, forget about BuddyPress at the moment. Once you have tested that WPMU is working correctly, then you can install BuddyPress.
