If I’m not mistaken, visibility:hidden property makes it invisible, whereas display:none (not hidden) makes it invisible but removes it from the DOM.

I’m using HTML code tags at the moment. The backtick stuff was part of the old deep integration method with bbPress.

If you aren’t seeing any errors in the javascript console of non-Firefox browsers.. very odd. Are you using unmodified BP files and the unmodified default theme? If you’re using a custom theme, you could check if the problem occurs on the default theme.

Disable the plugins; reactive one of them. Is its problem still there? If there is no problem, reactive a second plugin. Does the problem reappear for the first plugin? What’s in your error log? Perhaps BP didn’t install fully.

Is there anyway to get Buddypress to run alongside all these other plugin add-ons using one global log-in?

The bug is with the plugin, not BuddyPress. Look at https://buddypress.org/community/groups/bp-community-blogs and where it says, “Last Update: 411 days ago” and “Compatible to: (WordPress) 2.7.”

Your best bet is to leave the author, Andy, a message and see if he intends to update.

There used to be a dashboard on this site, a few design revisions ago (read: a year?). Wonder if anyone’s still got a screenshot for inspiration.

If you’re using SVN trunk, then what Jeff says. If you’re using the SVN branch 1.2, then it should work fine — bp_page_title() is in a core file and if it’s not finding that you’ve got bigger problems related to an incomplete installation

BP trunk is not stable. Use the 1.2 branch.

You mean the links aren’t appearing in the main nav menu? Add them to your theme’s header.php.

*Yes* but testing this on bp-default would tell us if it is an error with your custom theme (whether it uses the files in BP Template Pack, or not) or with something else.
