Do you know how to look at your web browser’s javascript error console? If so, please do this while on the (broken) widget screen and screenshot and/or copy-paste the error message.

You’ve run into a bug in BP 1.6.1. We’re fixing this for BP 1.6.2. For now, activate the plugin site-wide is the easiest solution.

The legacy message is for backwards compatibility. It’s totally meant to be there in some situations, so it’s not a problem.

How exactly are the widgets “not working”?

Do you have BuddyPress activated network-wide, or only on one of the sites?

I can’t remember if this is intentional. If we have the source images floating around, I suppose this lets us build HiDPI/retina images at some point in the future.

Are you saying if you set a BuddyPress page as the page-on-front, your code doesn’t work?

No, really. I *know* BP doesn’t touch or do anything with XMLRPC. If it’s causing a problem, it’s a symptom of something else. e.g. things like load order, or something like that.

BP doesn’t touch XMLRPC *at all*. It’s probably coincidence and will hopefully resolve itself whenever the route issue is fixed.

We did add canonical redirections in BP 1.6. I don’t see why this would affect IIS and not, for example, Apache. To see if it was the canonical redirects, put this in your bp-custom.php file:

What type of information? How does it relate to the activity? Or do you mean you want to know how to add different types of updates to the activity stream?

If you’re running BP 1.6+, you don’t need Labs for activity stream spam. It’s built in to 1.6, and if you use Akisment, that will protect Activity stream spam, too.

What’s the URL of the group that you’re trying to go to?
