Hi Gayatriom,
I’m working to a ‘template’ system for this plugin, but it’s not ready yet. The present version is using the styles from the default BuddyPress theme, so you can modify or add CSS rules to your theme style.css file.

That’s a good suggestion, thank you. I’m working on a ‘template system’ for the search form, so plugin users will be able to style the form with a ‘form template’.

BP Profile Search 2.5 is simply an update for BuddyPress 1.2.8 multisite installations.
Thanks to Gopherboy who reported this issue and suggested this update.

Sorry, but that option is not present in the current version. I’ll put it in my to-do list.

An important patch suggested by Gopherboy:
If you update WordPress to 3.1 and Buddypress to 1.2.8 and use multi_site this will no longer work because Buddypress uses 3.1’s new network_admin dashboard. A quick change to line 30 of bps-main.php will fix this problem.
Find the following line:add_action (‘admin_menu’, ‘bps_add_pages’, 20);

That’s because of the sliding login panel, it adds a list for the logged in user but not for the public. So BP Profile Search has to filter the 2nd list with logged in users, but the 1st list with the public. There is no workaround at this time, you could use this unwanted ’feature’ to restrict the ability to search to logged in users only. You c…[Read more]

BP Profile Search is independent of the user status. Did you try to set the Filtered Members List to a different value? But of course if you need a different filtered list value when the user is not logged in, that could be impractical. Please let me know!

Yes, try to set the Filtered Members List value to 2 (in the Advanced Options tab).

It’s not possible with the current version, but that feature is in my to-do list.

BP Profile Search 2.4 contains two improvements:
1) A workaround for a strange bug, where in a few installations WordPress was unable to activate the plugin if its main file was named ps-main.php. So I had to change the file name, which is now bps-main.php.
2) A fix for those sites that have more than one members list in their Members Directory…[Read more]

I think I found a workaround, I’m testing it and I plan to release a plugin update in the next few days.

BP Profile Search 2.3 adds the following improvements:
1) In the plugin admin page you can specify the search mode to be used for text fields. Specifically you can choose between:
— partial match, where a search for John matches field values of John, Johnson, Long John Silver, and so on;
— exact match, where a search for John matches the field…[Read more] -

Doesn’t BP Columns 1.2 have users widgets in the left sidebar? I’d bet that the search results show up in the left sidebar. Please let me know!
