BuddyPress.org

The theme designer says, “Any theme including my BuddyPress theme cannot block or prevent access to pages/posts or group sites.” Is this true? If so, why is one of the first trouble-shooting steps to return to default BP theme? Why do BP and the plugins work with the default, but not the other theme?

Changing back to the default BP theme seems to have restored the groups – which leaves me wondering if there’s possibly some sort of time problem with the theme I was using…? Yes, everything was working fine with the template & with the plugins when I left. The only change known is the disrupted access file.
