The theme designer says, “Any theme including my BuddyPress theme cannot block or prevent access to pages/posts or group sites.” Is this true? If so, why is one of the first trouble-shooting steps to return to default BP theme? Why do BP and the plugins work with the default, but not the other theme?
Changing back to the default BP theme seems to have restored the groups – which leaves me wondering if there’s possibly some sort of time problem with the theme I was using…? Again, nothing else changed or was installed, but after a few hours, groups are not accessible. I’ve tried to contact the theme developer, three different ways, but no reply in 5 days. So we’ll see what the default does.
Oh, and before you all ask:
BuddyPress Album+
BuddyPress Like
Custom Profile Filters for BuddyPressYes, everything was working fine with the template & with the plugins when I left. The only change known is the disrupted access file.
When I received no responses and searches turned up nothing, I scrapped everything & started all over. I had tried the default theme, deactivated pulg-ins one by one, etc., but no luck. So far, I’ve got just MU and BP up and it’s working… As I add plugins, a different theme, I’ll do it one at a time and see. No offense, but I hope I don’t have to come on back
Still hoping for direction/assistance on this!
WordPress MU 2.9.2
Version 1.2.3
This is the url, in case that helps: http://community.inherited-values.com/I manged to go ‘back’ enough times in the browser to delete one of the multiple group listings, so the count is now firmly at three (and only one listing of the group in the forum). But I cannot post to the group – which may be the most logical thing about this.
I just may cry.
