maybe your hosting provider has a slow email server. I’m not sure why it’s slow for you. It would be a bit complicated to change this to a background task. contact your hosting provider, see if there is an email bottleneck. I’ve done 1000s of emails no problem.

Boone has been working on a totally new wiki/docs plugin that is going to be great. https://github.com/boonebgorges/buddypress-docs. I’m not sure it’s exactly realdy for even alpha yet, but stay tuned for good things to come.

you might also be able to do this in a non secure way just with css. insert the user’s username into some wrapper div or the body element, then hide the create post form for all users then show it for admin.

this would be possible, but would be a customization to the plugin that I would not incorporate into the main plugin code. I’m too busy to take on any work at this moment, but I believe there are others in the community that can help you out if you’re not a programmer. good luck.

yes, there are filter hooks in the plugin which you can use to add whatever you want to groups as well as posts within the groups. I don’t recall If I’ve added an action or filter for the header and footer, but if needed I could add one.

Sorry, I just get so many request for features – and basically 0 donations. So it is a little bit unbalanced. I’d like to add the features, and fix all the bugs, but no one pays me to do it… and no one else does it.

I guess it has to be more a labour of love or developing something that you yourself would use and maybe only adding features that you yourself would use.   No. It was just a suggestion. Not a big enough deal for our volunteer community organization to pay for. If It were I would have emailed you and said “I really need this, can you do it? I’d be will to pay”. People should be able to offer suggestions and feedback without being solicited.
