i did some tests, and could not find the source of the issue. was the user you deleted subscribed as a weekly digest or as all email or new topics?

i’ve encountered this problem once in a while – but it is so intermittent, that it was hard to pin down what was the cause. And as you say – the forum does get posted. But if you think it was related to a deleted user account, that is something I can look into. Thanks.

yes, you’re not going to get notifications of email you yourself send. If you are having other problems, it is probably a conflict with another plugin. No one else is now having problems anymore. we should add an action hook in the plugin so people like yourself can hook into it. and others can ignore it. It should go inside a function.

i understand now. it is fixed in 2.7.8. I foolishly switched to load_plugin_textdomain because of another user’s request without fully understanding the system. and because I’m so busy I did not text it properly – which just causes more problems and confusion in the end.

about the timezone issue – this is not an issue with the plugin, it is a wordpress/PHP issue. so just set this at the top of your wp-config.php file.
date_default_timezone_set('America/Chicago');
or
date_default_timezone_set('UTC');

the accent bug has always existed. it is about the character code.

There is an existing bug with the daily digest and weekly summary where accent characters turn out strange. If anyone can solve this I would be grateful. I’m too busy to look into it right now.

your pot file had japanese characters in it. that’s why i didn’t use it. I will look into making a better POT. I have no idea about the time zone problems. can you shed light on it? thanks again.

the problem is that the translated file is using ‘buddypress’ and it should be using ‘bp-ass’ I’ve also changed ‘To disable these notifications please log in and go to: %s’ to bp-ass as well as ‘Group Forum’, ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ so add those to your new file as well. I also recreated the pot file […]
