You are correct that if no one visits the site, the cron will not run – that is a problem with wp_cron, not with our plugin. how should this be corrected?

it would be nice to make ‘all’ show html emails as well, but i have no budget for it.

this is a bug in wp 1.2.6 – make this change to your core files https://trac.buddypress.org/changeset/3375 or go back to 1.2.5.2 or wait for 1.2.7

  Cool. Im sure you have lots of ideas but one way might be to just have an “email everyone” checkbox next to the update form for group admins

this is a bug with wp 1.2.6 you can see how to fix it here: https://trac.buddypress.org/changeset/3374 1.2.7 will fix this and is supposed to be out soon.

Is any one having trouble with BP_Group_Extension since the last 1.2.6 update? The navigation items don’t seem to show up unless I’m admin. I’m not sure where the bug lives, in my code or in BP. anyone else encounter this?

you need to have two separate users, and open two browsers with each user signed into each one. one user needs to be signed up as the digest, the other then posts – in this setting you can test. also, use the ?sum=1 url add on to see the digest queue.

you can filter this ass_get_default_subscription and if the value is empty that means ‘no email’ is the current default for that group, then you can pass back ‘sub’ which will set the default for that group to New Topics. if you need more help with this contact me at deryk@bluemandala.com.

i’ve updated to version 2.7.2 which fixes some issues with cron misbehaving. but this may or may not fix the issue discussed above.
