I have a sneaking suspicion that Buddypress is dying..

I have many problems using it for my community and seriously consider changing. BuddyPress development is super slow and the community seems very thin.

What are your experiences?

In normal status updates, new lines are taken out and things function strangely and in forum posts new lines are preserved but list items etc don’t work. The only stuff which seems to work reliably is bold and italic.
