I have created an event with a chosen category and enabled the group feature. Check out my screencast with the error appearing. http://www.screencast-o-matic.com/watch/c66tiH6iu

I have tried creating an event on your test site and I have received this error “Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /www/htdocs/w00aae38/test/wp-content/plugins/buddyvents/core/bpe-helpers.php on line 405”

is there a quick fix for the widget problem (removing the added text) before 0.1.3 comes out so i can use the event widget?

Ekine started the forum topic Login only after hit f5 or refresh in the group How-To and Troubleshooting: 14 years, 1 month ago
After logging in the homepage still shows up not being logged it. When hitting f5 or clicking on the browser refresh button the user is logged it.
What could be the cause of this problem?

Buddypress has problems on refreshing new content on static pages… Users have to hit the f5 button in order to see new content. :/

Thank you.
Another problem occurs when using the widget on pages plugin (http://goo.gl/4mps). The event widget shows all entries twice when used on pages. See screenshot http://i54.tinypic.com/24q7j3c.png-
Added that to the list of open issues. I’ll have to check out the plugin — off hand I’d say that the loop created for the widget is not reset and causes the page loop to display that text too.

Firefox doesn’t show any javascript errors. Yes, but when disabling the rte, all the links for “b” “i” “img” and so on are still visible. I’d like to see only a text field similar to the status update fiels or comment field, removing all the distraction from the viewers eye.

Ekine posted on the forum topic Login widget like in this website? in the group Third Party Components & Plugins: 14 years, 1 month ago
@damainman It also worked for the way you explained it by copying parts of sidebar.php but the problem is that after logging in the users have to refresh the site (f5) in order be actually logged in. Which means that users think that they are not signed it and they’ll try in again.

Request – How to improve the basic Eventpress Widget (mucho^^)
– Option to sort the events by Upcoming, Newest, Most Active within the widget
– Event Icon (50×50) within the widget
– Show event location within the widget & make it sortable by location 🙂-
hmm … event widgets definitely need an upgrade. The calendar/time based widgets will be upgraded by 0.1.3, will check out how much work it takes me to modify this and accordingly fix the rest of the widgets.
0.1.3 should be around by 20th October or so.

I am so looking forward to seeing the integration of iCal… I think that will be the decider for me and your plugin… I’ve seriously looked at four different ones for your site including two premium ones… and I’m heavily leaning on yours once th…[Read more]

When creating an event the wysiwyg editor shows both, visual and html icons. After hitting visual or html the problem resolves See screenshot (http://i53.tinypic.com/2rqkao5.gif). I am using the firefox 3.6.10 for mac browser. It would be handy if we could disable the rich text editor within the backend.
Within the custom registration form, I am…[Read more]

@ekine Hmm … I haven’t actually faced this issue — will have to check this out. Does the firefox console show any javascript errors with this? And the rte settings are inherited based on user capabilities; so if you do disable the rte in wp-admin for users, it should get disabled on the front end too.

Strange — cause the issue is definitely with js. WIll have to investigate further.
So I was mimicking the wp-admin behaviour on this, reverting to the simple html tags version when the rich text editor is disabled. I’m directly using the_editor tag provided in wp-admin to render that text field.
