It didn’t work for me. The create new event site shows a blank page. And when clicking on events it says “page not found”.

WordPress 3.0 is installed and buddypress 1.2.5.2

  Very strange, just did on my website (sportactions.ru and volks-wagen-club.ru) – all created without any problems and .. on WordPress MU 3.0 + BuddyPress 1.2.5.2

  2. event location would be shown on a google map

    1) Ability to use a calendar – is considered for future version
    2) Use Google map .. good idea might be implemented, but once the basic functionality to debug the plugin

A question regarding the uninstall process of plugins. Do the the corresponding plugin tables get removed when deactivating a plugin? Because I don’t want unused tables within my database.

I would love to see an import plugin from drupal 6 with cck imagefield attachments. 🙂 There could be a huge amount of drupal users who might want to switch to buddypress. 😉

What I like a lot more about buddypress than jomsocial 1.8 is that every update has its own URL where users can comment on. But I also have to admit that jomsocial has a great event plugin and an out of the box user album plugin. Switching to buddypress is almost impossible without user albums. I like the idea of “Category Groups->Sub Category Groups”. This makes sorting by type of group so much easier. 🙂
