Hi, I have installed wordpress in a different directory to my root but have setup wordpress so it sends visitors to the root, ie copy index.php and .htaccess to root… Now buddypress won’t work, its driving me insane, the register link works but the link to log in doesn’t it just keeps giving a 404 […]

think thats what I’m going to have to do….. booo! thanks for your help… So do you have a recommended plugin or anything to backup content so i could just transfer it into the new installation?? Sorry I’m a bit of a newbie to doing all this stuff…..

i’ve done so many posts and image uploads, its going to be a nightmare to re do it, so would prefer to be able to fix current install if possible. Seems strange that there wouldn’t be a simple fix for it…… I could stay up all night and do it I suppose but not ideal.
