Some of the updates in the site wide activity widget become particularly long when someone on my site decides to write a novel as a status update. Is there a way to truncate all activity in the widget so it don’t get out of hand. Thanks

It’s not just my site, I went to buddystream plugin site just to test it. Check out my profile here http://buddystream.net/members/gearupandplay/
You will notice that when I replied to a status update I have duplicate activity on my profile.

@gunju2221 nope, it don’t go away after refresh. It happens only on the person’s activity stream who is replying to a @message. When they reply it appears underneath the original @message and this is fine. When you refresh the page this is when another message appears above the threaded comments. @gregfielding Hey Greg, I seen you put up a post a bit ago about duplicate content in activity stream from status updates. So this is a common problem? Does everyone have this issue or is it a plugin. This is really annoying and cluttering up peoples activity streams.

I am getting duplicate content in my activity stream on user profiles. If people talk to each other they get two updates, one being the original message and the other being the “new activity comment”. This is where it gets duplicate. @jonhardison I’m not sure if this will continue to work but for now it seems to be working. I am running with “-O /dev/null -q”. The only change I made was taking out the www part the url. This seemed to work but I do not know why.

Also, cpanel only allows me to run at 15 minute intervals. I just entered it as 5 but it says it will adjust it per TOS

I’m not sure when this happened, maybe last update my I just noticed all my users were reset. Everyone will have to authenticate again…weird. Anyone else have this trouble
