In reply to: Deep integration of Google Docs
Hey Peter and thanks for chiming in!
In terms of storage, docs know supports any type of document
In reply to: Deep integration of Google DocsWould one be better of starting with GW plugin rather than start from scratch? Aslo, would be cool to get Peter Anselmo’s view on this topic.

Oh, didn’t know about the Group Documents. Obviously haven’t used it but looks good. Could there possibly be an upside with a google docs option? There are 1 GB free storage, really good editors, folder structure asf. I think it would be a real killer!
In reply to: Enterprise BuddypressTo get back to start there is an excellet initiative from D Cartwright with Group Wiki Plugin
As for document management; any glue on google docs?
Not very management but Etherpad is nice. Also just open sourced.

What are your thoughts on Confluence besides being proprietary and in your case part of Blackboard?
In reply to: Enterprise BuddypressWell, I’m not especially fond of the word enterprice but since english is not my native language, thats what went into the title. It’s all about usefull tools in a social context and the Privacy Component is a important part of it. Looks good from what I’ve read and I will definitely check it out.
Would you elaborate on your proprietary component? Sounds interesting to say the least

Why not make a joint venture right from the start?
Since you have a tight timeframe and, I believe, there are lots of interest in a, as you say, ‘proper’ ‘wiki-type’ plugin from the BP community, it’s would be wasting time and resources not. Setting a solid plan for time and features you would surely attract serious BP devs and ui folks @Boone Gorges, @nexia, @DJPaul. And maybe @Jeff Sayre will adapt his privacy component.
Cheers, G
In reply to: Donncha joining BP?Well, that was an awkward gawker part of my brain takin a shot. No harm intended. Only Love.
Well, I’m very much looking forward to follow future development of BP. And especially if some big names (like Ian Stewart, themeshaper.com or Justin Tadlock, themehybrid.com), in WP design comes along. Any signs of them?
@JasonG: can your custom theme be seen somewhere?
