In reply to: How can I easily post images in the activity stream?Don’t yell at us for helping YOU! find a solution.
There is no other way to just post the link of an image and have it appear. YOU! Must go searching for plugins, and If there is none, you might have to wait for some other plugin to come out, or use the image tags in HTML.
Oembed it just about the only thing that exists in which what you want at the moment.
In reply to: Replacing bp_add_friend_button with iconDon’t do that, because now when any user clicks “Add Friend”, it will just do nothing, and not request it.
You will have to do it via css
`background-image:url(‘img_tree.png’);
background-repeat:no-repeat;`In reply to: Problems with alignment/sidebarWell because that certain page could have a missing div error, or alignment issues…
It could be some theme modifications that will need to do, custom themes take work on getting them to fit with buddypress. Will need to tinker with your CSS template to make sure the wrapper isn’t overlapping, or pushing anything down.

In reply to: help me if anyone canIn reply to: How can I easily post images in the activity stream?Very possible in multiple ways, to embed an image in status updates.
1. Install @r-a-y’s handy plugin, oembed for buddypress: https://buddypress.org/community/groups/oembed-for-buddypress/ Whuch gives you the ability to just post the link inside the update and it will appear. It works for videos also.
2. If you don’t want to install that plugin, you can just put the image inside image src tags: `
`
There is also an album plugin which allows your users to upload pictures in their profile albums, and then insert them into status updates.
Good luck!
In reply to: Problems with alignment/sidebarWell depending on if your theme has the sidebar on the “right” or “left”, it should stay there unless the content is pushing it somewhere else.
In reply to: Problems with alignment/sidebarWell what do you want to be done?
This isn’t really a buddypress issue, unless it’s only on buddypress pages.
In reply to: Replacing bp_add_friend_button with iconThe “Add Friend” button won’t work because the “ is different from `<div class="generic-button"` where you can just hook the icon into the generic button through image tags.
In reply to: Searching the Codex is brokenIn reply to: Report errors/bugs in trunk versions?-No. these Errors are in line for being fixed for 1.3, and most likely are already filed as a ticket.
=Trunk= basically means “work in progress”
The trunk version will have bugs in them, this just means they are working on getting them all fixed for us.
In reply to: need plugin1st. This is a Buddypress support forum only, not questions about wordpress plugins.
2. There are many plugins out there that would fit your taste, you must go searching for the right one, not us.
3. Don’t bump posts more than once every 24 hours.
In reply to: Problems with alignment/sidebarWhat is wrong with the sidebar? I can’t seen anything really wrong from your site.
You need to be more specific!
In reply to: I dont know how to installWell I was assuming he was meaning buddypress because it was posted on the buddypress forums….

In reply to: Updating 1.2.8 and Template Pack@stevieg, there is nothing more that you are required to do than to remove the WordPress Admin bar, that they added.
Don’t get worried over nothing, updating to wordpress 3.1 is safe, it’s been a fare share amount of time since it was updated, so plugins can update their compatibility with it also.
In reply to: How do I add a menu item on the profile page?Your welcome
In reply to: ERROR: There was an error when creating the topicSo I tell you a solution for you to try, and you call it silly? Do you even know why I told you to do that? Have you even tried it?
The most likely reason that it’s doing this is because the forum ID is not entered. Unchecking, and rechecking, re-enters the ID.
So before calling it silly, actually try it
, and if it does not work, thats not a problem, we can move on to solving your problem. In reply to: buddypress.org upload avatar pic errorEmpty your cache, it will appear, it usually does not show up immediately.
In reply to: Background and Sidebar IssuesThats because you have a `max-width:` css applied somewhere in your bp-css, because the content is overlapping the sidebar, and it’s getting pushed down to the bottom.
I can’t pinpoint exactly where it is, You, must go searching in your css and find it, and tinker to make it fit in your theme.
, otherwise, I would contact your freelancer to find it.
