How would I make it so that each group could have a different link instead of all groups getting that one by default?

I would like to add a new tab in the Group navigation that links to a category page. I figured this would be a simple task but I am finding myself confuzzled. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have been playing around with bp 1.7 (trunk) from trac and I noticed that this plugin throws a 500 server error when activated within 1.7… Other than that, works as promised on 1.6…

I would also like to know how we can change the default orderby to title, instead of by date.
