I’ve fixed the same problem in my buddypress child theme.

I put a copy of header.php in the child theme and replaced the line:

<a href="" title=""></a>

with this one

Seems to work.

thank you for the response, hmmm I wonder if it’s WP or BP, just upgraded from 3.0.1 to 3.0.4, there are some suggestions of code fixes to core bp files, I may try one of those.

@dancort I’m looking for help with avatars in subsites, working with a customized version of Simple Community theme, what file does your code get pasted into? the core PB functions?

Is SP courseware compatable with wp 3.04? and if so do you recommend using bp default theme? (or is there another you recommend?)

Still can’t add avatar to this site today. error code:
Upload Failed! Error was: Unable to create directory /home/buddypress/public_html/wpmu/wp-content/blogs.dir/1/files/avatars/7475407. Is its parent directory writable by the server?
