Yes I have done that, but I wanted other people’s input, so I can see how easy they find the site. Its nice to get different perspectives of the website, and they might see something’s I have missed.

Hello everyone! I have been working on my social network for a couple of weeks, and I plan to launch it in over a weeks time. I was wondering if there were any volunteers who would be willing to test the site out for me? This would involve using the site for a few days, […]

@pcwriter The only changes I have made were to wp-config where I added

@pcwriter Ok, here is the update.
I de-activated all plugins and the admin bar still doesn’t show.
“Hide admin bar for logged out users” is ticked as No.
I am using the theme “BuddyPress Default 1.2.7 by BuddyPress.org” and the admin bar isn’t showing.
If it helps, the Admin bar shows when I am logged into the dahsboard as an Admin, but not…[Read more]-
Have you added anything to functions.php, bp-custom.php, or wp-config that might affect the adminbar?

@pcwriter Hello there! I really need your help getting my BP Admin bar back. When I add wp_footer on my footer file, I just get a long list of all the pages on the site?
-
Let’s check the basics: enable bp-default theme and disable all plugins you have installed EXCEPT Buddypress. Does your adminbar show?

Is there any way of restricting who can make groups on my BuddyPress site? Can I make it so only admins can make groups? I have installed a plugin that sets up Group categories, so is it possible to make sure only Admin can make groups in one of those categories, but allow users to […]

@pcwriter The problem is though, whenever I add wp_footer to the footer I get a huge list of all the pages on the website?

@pcwriter Aww shoot sorry about that! What did you change so I can learn from this?
-
I simply added the call to wp_footer which was missing, and removed a few paragraph & span tags that weren’t doing anything useful. Compare the code you had with the updated version and you’ll see the differences right away.

Is it possible for me to change the names of the links in the menu? Here is my website: http://fitness-social.com
I want to remove the home link (which I set to re-direct to the Members page) and re-name the Activity tab “Home”. If this can be done can you tell me how? Thanks!

@pcwriter This is the website in question, take a look: http://fitness-social.com/

Post your entire footer.php code to http://pastebin.com and then post the URL to that code here. I’ll take a look and see if I can spot what’s gone wrong.
