My signin link doesnt work for some reason. On my homepage, the signup link next to the login link doesnt work and just redirects me to http://www.mydomain/register. Then the ‘Index of /register’ comes up. Why is this and how can I redirect to my homepage?

If I visit my main page, and then click on the link to signup it redirects me to an index of /register/ (www.mydomain.com/register/)… Why is this? im trying to edit a child theme – do i have to edit the default.css as well as the header.php file as well? Im not making the connection between the defualt.css and header files…
