echo get_avatar( get_the_author_meta(‘user_email’), $size = ’50’ );
delivers the avatar, but if size>50 it just stretches the thumb. Is there a way to just get the url of the full size avatar?

Sure. In Super Admin go Sites>edit(the site you would like to appear in the users list)
there you can add the user to that site and set their role.
Then when that user logs in they should see that site under ‘my blogs’, if they are author, editor or admin.
How were they posting before? I’m sorry I can’t remember.
