I enabled wpmu on my website so I could have the blogs back. I now have blogs but I have no members uploaded avatars and no members uploaded group avatars. How do I get the avatars back? My website is http://www.vapersplace.com Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have enabled wpmu. The positive- I now have blogs 🙂 The negative- I lost all of my users uploaded avatars, group avatars and when you click on blog it goes to the home page 🙁

So camilin119, you have wpmu enabled already and you still can’t allow users to create blogs? I don’t want to wpmu enable if it doesn’t work.

Exactly MW. That’s what I want on my website. I guess I have to enable multi-site within wordpress in order to do that. I will try it and let you know if it works. I just hope it doesn’t screw anything up on my website. When I uploaded wordpress 3.0 and buddypress 1.2.4 it caused […]

I’ll try and word it better. I would like for my users to be able to write and post blogs. On my old ning website http://vapersplace.ning.com/profiles/blog/list users were able to write blogs and I don’t have this function on my current website http://www.vapersplace.com Is there a way I can have this function back for them?

That’s for upgrading from wpmu. I upgraded from wordpress. They say I shouldn’t have to do that. Should I try it anyway?

@johnjamesjacoby I was using wordpress 2.9.2 and buddypress 1.2.3. I recently upgraded to wordpress 3.0 and buddypress 1.2.4.1. I came across this on a search, https://svn.buddypress.org/tags/1.1-rc/bp-core/bp-core-avatars.php and this code got my avatars working again. Now the only problem I’m having is when you try to upload an avatar, no matter what size it is it says it’s too big and won’t upload it. Any suggestions?

All of the members avatars they uploaded are still in wp-content/uploads . Can someone please tell me how to fix this? My […]
