Hello again – At this point, should I create a new wordpress blog and import in the old .sql file export that has the posts in them? Or is there still something else I can do to get the posts back up? Thank you!
Hi! Thanks sorry for the dup post, thought it was a new issue.
YOURS: @lradden have you tried contacting the previous webmaster? Looks like it’s missing a plugin like Courseware perhaps, sound familiar or one of the learning management systems. Check in your Plugins > Installed panel. The lessons plugin may have been deactivated.REPLY: There is a plugin called cforms that won’t re-activate. It gave me this error when I first deactivated buddy press and reactivated from your instructions above and I haven’t been able to reactivate without this error since:
Warning: fopen(/var/www/tah/wp-content/plugins/cforms/abspath.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /var/www/tah/wp-content/plugins/cforms/lib_functions.php on line 191 Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array in /var/www/tah/wp-content/plugins/cforms/lib_activate.php on line 7
YOURS: Otherwise, where are you hosted? If on shared host, perhaps tech support can get you a copy of your database backup from last month at least to check wp_options table to see what were the active plugins at that time.REPLY: The site is on our server so I have the backup I did before I tried any of your instructions. I do not, however, have any backup before that as the previous person did not back up the files ever.
Hi – I just created new pages and associated these pages with the components so the components message has disappeared. But all of my users’ posts are still not appearing on the site or in the list of posts.
Example:
http://tah.newton.k12.ma.us/lessons/the-trials-of-theodore-roosevelt-and-woodrow-wilson/
Thanks!
Hi i changed to twenty eleven theme and deactivated Buddypress. Then reactivated it and i do not see the installation wizard link. Instead I see this:
You’ll need to activate a BuddyPress-compatible theme to take advantage of all of BuddyPress’s features. We’ve bundled a default theme, but you can always install some other compatible themes or update your existing WordPress theme. The following active BuddyPress Components do not have associated WordPress Pages: Activity Streams, Discussion Forums, User Groups, Members.
Hi thanks – just to clarify, this will rebuild the database tables, but won’t delete the data that’s in them? Thanks!
