No. The plugin has its own theme files. You just need to create a mobile version of your custom page inside the plugin folder. buddypress-mobile/templates/default/page.php <- duplicate and convert to custom

Ok, go into buddymobile plugin folder and duplicate page.php and turn it into a custom page named same as the one in your regular theme folder.

Cache might not be the issue, is that photo page a custom page template?

If you are using a cache plugin turn it off for mobile devices.

No way is the codex holding up a release. In my opinion the codex is a lost cause without a significant amount of volunteers to manage the content. It’s downright depressing and probably a turn off to people […]

You can remove the name field by going to the wp admin Users > profile fields.
Anything in the base/first section is required at sign up.

Take the folder _inc from buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default and copy it into your theme folder.

Yes, but if you wait a few weeks for BP 1.7 you’ll not need to hack a WP theme to work.

Cover image has been such a requested feature. I will write a plugin that themes can use to display images. It will only be for BP 1.7.
