@modemlooper could you point me to the code that i can modify to change what is pulled in by iphone to bookmark the site ? it cuts off my site name in the text and then i’d like to use a custom icon to represent thanks!!

@modemlooper I didn’t mention any developers & this thread certainly wasn’t intended to bash any, I’d still debate whether I bashed any in the previous thread too…
I’m just asking about privacy options, @mercime gave the perfect answer.
Has anyone tried these options, if so, what do you think?

  The nav pulls in pages so it’s showing every page on your site as nav links You can stop pages from showing by using this plugin https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/exclude-pages/

  So ideally I would like to have a separate navigation bar along the top that would show a link to all my pages. So in essence a second Nav Bar above or below the standard one. What do you recommend?

  kickstarter is for not developing until a certain amount is met then you start. I think privacy is way past due to wait for such a thing. To do a kickstarter you’d have to specifically list what the end result would be so people can judge if it’s worthwhile to invest. Different ways to go about it. Jeff sold early access to beta versions.

    I know, but it might work. I’ve not seen the approach tried for WordPress plugins or themes before. Either way, the earliest I could possibly start due to holidays and other commitments would be in at least a month’s time, so it’d be a question of availability, too.

      Who knows, I just want to get something started. It would be up too who ever is developing it. My wish is it be added to core but since everyone is basically a volunteer their RL work comes first and these types of things get pushed to the back and then sadly never get accomplished.

@modemlooper Hi, I love your citizen kane theme! I have two questions, 1. is there any way to add some widget areas to the left hand side rather than having Blog posts? 2. Is there any way of adding an events tab to the navigation that has the same sort of functionality as the Groups tab? Thanks very much!

  If you add an events plugin it should add the nav for you. That said, I’m updating this theme soon to have a drop down menu and you can add nav items from the admin.
  
  Also, next version will have a few front page options, one being a 3 column widgetized layout

Very cool idea!
Should cut down on the copy/paste/link/embed routine and open up a whole world of sharing possibilities.
And I agree about the badge plugin. Do you know if anyone has stepped up with an offer to continue development?
