It has not been updated.

I’m also looking for similar capability. I want users to be able to follow other users (without being friends) as well as follow groups (without being group members)

Is there a new solution?

BuddyX looks interesting, why is it not on the WP site? For the free version, how do I keep the theme up to date, is it automatic or do I have to download latest from your website?

Has this feature been resolved? I’m also interested in a “verified account” badge or indicator for users.

If this is/can be not built into BP, is it compatible with this WP plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-verified-member/ or something similar else that is recommended?
