Thanks, I found the line of code (line 376)

`$update_content = apply_filters( ‘bp_get_activity_latest_update’, strip_tags( bp_create_excerpt( $update, $length ) ) );`

and deleted `, $length` at the end and it worked perfectly.

Okay, I guess I just don’t really know what to do. I looked through the documentation, but didn’t see anything beyond installation. Is there some sort of step-by-step I could look at somewhere? I don’t even know where to find the ‘groups’ section you mentioned. Sorry for being a dunce, but this is the first time I have ever done anything with BP so I know literally zero about it.
