Has anyone seen a way to make posts followable? Like subscribing to comments the old fashion way but instead these followable posts flow into your profile activity stream under a favorite post tab. So any conversations you have going on comment sections you can see in a designated activity stream and you’ll also be notified […]

I just found this plugin. I think it is great. A couple of questions. Is this the only like blog post plugin out there? Second. I’m trying to style the like link in blog post single template (using
) to look like a button with a bubble surrounding the number, like all those other social […] -

I’ve been having fun locking wordpress components using something like this

..but instead of achievement you could do the same thing using points. -

@doctordr activate that plugin I mentioned and add this to your bp-custom.php ` //if php is older then change $a to &$a function my_block_activity_type_blog_id_before_save( $type, $a ) { global $bp; //if there is an id – we don’t care… updating if ( $a->id ) return $type; //Come and see the violence inherent in the system. @doctordr You could make your SWT blog private or try this plugin https://buddypress.org/community/groups/buddypress-block-activity-stream-types/ I remember there is a way to block specific blog IDs from appearing in the activity stream but the plugin developer is no longer keeping up with this plugin and it appears his site is offline. there may…[Read more]

Trying to make the Recently Active Member Avatars widget work for individual blogs on a MU site by showing only most recently active members on that specific blog. Any ideas, or anyone seen anything like this around? a little wishful thinking led me to try something along the lines of bp_has_members( ‘user_id=0&type=active&per_page=’ . $instance .…

yea but i guess it is fun try to learn while someone more pro creates something. not everything is free and easy…so it’s always good to tinker with stuff and try to learn even if you are not a programmer. I’m no programmer but I’m quite the copy and paster. 🙂

yes i’ve seen it and played with their social layer. everything they’re doing is pretty much doable with BP. Following Topics is something that’s a little harder to do as part of what BP offers so you’ll need a plugin and/or work with RSS feeds. I’ve also been looking for this functionality but there isn’t really anything that does that. So it’s…[Read more]

Follow Topics basically. I think if you use Bp My Home that you can assign the ‘save-able’ feed to your Tags Feed. example.com/tags/gadget/feed that way when a member clicks on that RSS feed it will go into the BP My Home member feeds widget. I think. I only tried that plugin for a few days […]
