line 141 in enhanced-buddypress-widgets-bp-functions.php (0.2.1) sets the class=selected attribute on the #popular-groups anchor regardless of what initial state you select in the admin.

I pulled out the the first one which is declared outside the if block and all was well.

I banged my head against this one too. Seems the registration page bounces you back to the hompage if you are currently signed in (and hence already registered).
