@DJPaul . Weird. Disabled everything but BP and WP and it still occurs. Tried to update settings in Chrome, Safari and Firefox and it still happens.

LoL Paul. I didn’t know it came with Welcome Pack Roulette too.
I’m not sure what a user names only plugin is. All I have are achievements and cubepoints (and its BP integration plugin) right now. Not sure why this is happening. Sounds like you’re close though.

When I try to revise the Welcome Pack settings, I’ve noticed that there is a lot of missing text, making it impossible to discern between members. http://i45.tinypic.com/34gaww2.png http://i46.tinypic.com/2qwn05h.png I’ve never seen something like this happen in any of my browsers before so I’m not sure what it could be. Does anyone else have this…[Read more]

PJ posted on the forum topic Here come the spammers!!! in the group Requests & Feedback: 14 years, 6 months ago
There are some good exhaustive posts about spammers on this site… but what will change from the server level? I have gotten a few spam messages too and there’s nothing I can do except for delete them. Could the site setup a recaptcha required box before sending messages? Would that be effective? If Buddypress can […]

@BooneGorges I have that same error/issue occur on Buddypress.org, so it doesn’t seem to be an isolated issue. I still have the randomly selected gravatar because I have that error when I try to upload a new image on this site.

Is there a way to remove the “$” before the points on profiles?

Also, does your Ranks page not work? when I click Add Rank a blank white box appears and nothing happens.

Thank you so much hnla. That’s a silly but important first step I overlooked.
Question: there are two panels for point value settings: one in its own button at the bottom left of wp-admin and one in the buddypress section. Which is the one I should focus on or do the two match each other?

1. Upload the contents of
cubepoints-buddypress-integration.zip
to the/wp-content/plugins/
directory.
2. Activate the “CubePoints Buddypress Integration” Plugin
3. Modify the point values if you wish in the BP CubePoints admin menu.Yes. Uploaded, activated, changed point values. Nothing.

Running latest BP and wpmu. I installed the cubepoints-buddypress-integration sidewide and nothing happens. I see the points list in the Buddypress tab, but I can’t see evidence of the cubepoints plugin anywhere else in the site. Could someone please help me get it running? Thanks.

You can do it manually. One option is to go to the WP admin > Site Admin > Users. You can sort users by when they register. Check to see if they’re active. If not, you can deal with it accordingly. Others might have crafty ideas that would be easier than this.

@r-a-y sorry for the incorrect reference on wmpu.org Good point. Most of those concepts I’m comfortable with. @stwc a) Good idea to have a localhost setup! That might work well if users know how to set it up. I can do that this weekend. b) I’ll check that out. I’ve noticed a lot of learning is just […]

I’ve heard mixed reviews on the BP for Dummies book and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on if it’s good for an intermedia BP developer to understand the plugin better and be comfortable with modifications. Has anyone read or bought it? What are your thoughts? Also, I’ve been extremely impressed with the amount […]

Thank you. I was able to be reminded of what it was.
But if I can download the file, can’t anyone potentially see the password?

Is there a way to resolve this? I reset my MYSQL password and I guess Buddypress doesn’t know what to do “Error establishing a database connection”.
How can I update the database so my password works with Buddypress but those on the Internet can’t see it?
Thanks
