@DJPaul… is there a way to flush/reset my Welcome Pack from my database and start clean? If so, please let me know. Thanks.

I was trying to change the default mystery man icon to theme my site but I can’t because apparently the purple isosceles monster icon is taking over my buddypress installation. Has anyone experienced this issue too?
How can I get the mystery man back? Thanks

There seems to be some sort of error. The badge preview is only a broken image icon. Has anyone else had this issue?

Did you get lucky? I’m not able to have the plugin work. I’ll see the admin settings but when I made updates I get errors on several lines. On the front end, I only see the link to it, however, when I click it, I’m pointed back to my homepage.

I’m sorry but I I’m unable to install the plugin. It doesn’t seem to be a plugin… buddypress doesn’t recognize it at all. Any help?

I tried to reinstall the plugin but the triplicate issue still exists. If you have any suggestions let me know. For know I’ll delete the 2/3 that is extra. Thanks.

PJ posted on the forum topic Possible to change the monster parts? in the group How-To and Troubleshooting: 14 years, 3 months ago
Agreed. I’m not keen on having a purple isosceles triangle for my avatar on Buddypress.
I’m not sure if this is the option, but in the WP admin panel, go to Settings > Discussion. Try changing the default avatar radio buttons at the bottom of the page to Mystery Man or None. Hope this helps.

PJ posted on the forum topic Password strength feature in the group Creating & Extending: 14 years, 3 months ago
Since no codewarrior has stepped up, I’ve implemented a temporary fix. I modified the registration page to say “Is mine strong?” with a link to https://www.microsoft.com/protect/fraud/passwords/checker.aspx?WT.mc_id=Site_Link that opens in a new window. It would be nice to have a password strength meter to encourage strong password creation in…[Read more]

What happened? It worked fine a couple weeks ago but I check it and I see these bizarre messages. Any help? Thank you.

Thank you. I wasn’t sure but I’ll do that. It’s good to know that the forums are more organized than meets the eye.

I posted here but don’t think it’s viewable in the main forum so I’m reposting this here.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

When users create a new link, the categories are smushed together one big paragraph of radio buttons and category text. This isn’t clean. Does anyone know how to have each category be its own line so its a line of radio buttons. Currently it’s like this (x being a radio button in this example): x […]

PJ started the forum topic New users often skip uploading an avatar during registration and need to be reminded to do so in the group Creating & Extending: 14 years, 5 months ago
I’ve had several installs with several different user segments (high school students, undergrad and grad students) and most new user registrations miss out on uploading avatars during their first login (and need to be reminded of how to do this if they skipped that step). Have you noticed that your users miss out on uploading […]

Group and member icons are broken across the site. They worked fine this afternoon before the upgrade but now they have the broken image icon in them. Any thoughts on how I can get them working again?
Thanks.

Thanks! I just had to delete that file and do an upgrade via the dashboard. Definitely easy. Hope others read this and don’t get worried by the message. Love the new 3.0 look!

I just upgraded from WPMU 2.9.2 to WPMU 3.0 “automatically” through the admin page and got this message: http://i46.tinypic.com/358qhis.jpg I did the first part, the second part I’ll do shortly, but what does the third direction mean? “The wp-content/blogs.php file is deprecated. Please remove it and update your server rewrite rules to use…[Read more]
