Frank, provided that you’ve got the user id and birthdate, I guess you could do something like this :

$buddy = new BuddyWithABirthdate($userid, $birthdate);
$age = $buddy->getAge();
if(!$buddy->isBirthdayToday()) $age–;
echo $age;

the 3rd line is because getAge func does not actually return the current age but the age the user is going to tur…[Read more]

Thanks for noticing, I’ll update the plugin with a fix for this issue (the plugin will now automatically apply the GMT offset as defined in the root blog).

Hi Suzanne, the language files should already take care of this. Displaying the month name instead of number is another thing (would’nt change anything to the MM/DD vs DD/MM issue though) but I fear it would also make the widget much heavier to read, especially within large communities. I’ll keep it in mind anyway, thanks.

Yeah I never intended this plugin to be used in large communities. Huge speed improvement could be done with data caching…
