Hey Sven, got a problem with 1.2.4 beta on WP3.0/BP 1.2.5.2 – everything works fine for BP, but its missing title and keywords on the blog home page, which is a static page, and the blog itself, which is at http://virtualcrowds.org/blog – the way I have tried to get round it is to run All […]

PubDirLtd reviewed the plugin BuddyPress Sliding Login Panel: 14 years, 5 months ago
I tried it when it was just the straight WP version and of course it wasn’t linked into BuddyPress’s registration system so I unloaded it. Then I saw your version and I though “at last!”, but I am disappointed because it doesn’t work for me. “My Account” switches on click to “Close Panel” and “Log Out” logs out but “Login” won’t log…[Read more]

Sounds like the panel is not sliding… Do you have a javascript error or anything similar?
You can customize the design pretty easily by editing update-content.php file… all the sections of the sliding panel are defined in this single file, and it’s really easy to understand how it works.
The only issue is that you’ll probably need to make it…[Read more]

@MrMaz Hey MrMaz…
(1) Every time I add a link I am seeing this “Warning: array_map() [function.array-map]: Argument #2 should be an array in /home/virtualo/public_html/wp-content/plugins/buddypress-links/bp-links-core.php on line 1805

I am getting this response from Webmaster Tools for “bp-sitemap-members-f.xml.gz” and for which Google also claims there are 0 submitted and 0 indexed URLs. “Missing XML tag This required tag is missing. Please add it and resubmit.” The “bp-sitemap-members-f.xml.gz” file contains this… | | | | Can you tell me how to resolve this since […]

With some WP/BP themes having many small js and css files, the loading speed benefits from combining can be huge.
I was having real problems with both CSS and JS (404 and 500 errors) after trying to combine and minify with W3TC on http://virtualcrowds.org using BuddyPress default theme + the 3 column child theme, so I un-minified and…[Read more]

OK, then its not me.. That’s another thing wrong with BuddyPress forums by the way – the search function – its crap! How are users supposed to research the forums before asking duplicate questions. Every decent forum out there has a good search function, in fact both simple and complex lookup forms. It really ought […]

PubDirLtd posted on the forum topic Default 3 Column Theme in the group Third Party Components & Plugins: 14 years, 6 months ago
This is exactly the theme I was looking for and I want to use it for a new site I am developing at http://virtualcrowds.org/ which is currently running on WP3 RC2. The problem I am having is that, on a couple of pages, it looses the left hand column. Can you tell me how to […]

@MrMaz OK, I think I’m getting the picture now. The problem I am having at http://virtualcrowds.org is that my Links page, for some reason, unlike every other page on the site, does not ‘see’ the left sidebar. I realize this may be a child theme issue, but if you could give me an idea how to fix it (if I can) I would be much obliged.

I’ll try with the CSS but I am not much of a developer. I guess I just don’t understand why plugins in your design should start 30px lower on the left hand side than they do on the right.

Yes, I knew about that thanks. But it doesn’t really answer my question. I guess I need to go talk to the developers. Thanks.

Please ignore that http://virtualcrowds.com — it should have been http://virtualcrowds.org.
Sorry bout that but there’s no Edit function here… 8^(

It’s suppose to be like that. It’s padding for #leftSidebar. you can always change the css to fit your own needs.

The right side has the login form at top. If you remove it I guess you’s need to fix the spacing.

@modemlooper Hi, I am working on a new site at http://virtualcrowds.com using a mixture of your BP Columns child theme and some graphics I made. I love the result except for one tiny tiny thing. There’s an gap at the top of the left column before the first widget shows and I can’t figure out why its there or how to get rid of it. Wouldn’t like…[Read more]
