I prefer your third variation(eyes focus on one area); however, I would prefer having the option of viewing a timeline of notifications, not just the most recent.

I prefer the second. It requires one click to execute an action and what is allowed is what can be seen. Nothing is hidden in a dropdown field.

Looks great! I would also add filtering for each of the appropriate components. So, for example, My Videos, My Albums or My Groups could include “favorited” or rated content which the member could filter by.
