You’d have to create your own conversion script.
If Sharetronix offers some type of export functionality, this would probably make things a little easier, though you’d still need to build a script so WordPress / BuddyPress can parse it.

First, you have to ensure that you have BuddyPress installed and activated.
Next, make sure you are correctly typing in the BuddyPress function you want to use.Without knowing what function you’re trying to use, it’s hard to give further advice.

bp-custom.php might be too early to try the remove_action.
Try adding the snippet in your theme’s functions.php file.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. Current iteration of the plugin doesn’t include support for topic excerpts. You can probably add support yourself by applying the oEmbed function to the topic excerpt filter.

I did take a brief look at adding “replied to” support a month ago. Had a bunch of weird permalink hacks, want to revisit and recode a better solution.

Are you talking about uploading an avatar to buddypress.org?
If so, that’s a known bug on the site.However, you can set your gravatar at gravatar.com and buddypress.org should pick it up.

Sounds like a problem with your “Suffusion” theme.
Can you switch to the BuddyPress Default theme to see what happens?

Boone’s fix isn’t in 1.3 trunk; bp.org is running a customized build of 1.3 at the moment.
Like JJJ mentioned, stick to 1.2 branch until 1.3 gets some merge love in the coming months.

@johnwinch42 – If you’re just testing BuddyPress locally, I would just login to PHPMyAdmin and clear out your entire activity table so you won’t have to worry about redirections.
Like you mentioned, once you set the BP_ROOT_BLOG from the onset, you won’t have to worry about redirects whatsoever!

I recommend to use a trailing slash.
Redirects should work from all blogs since you’re using a subdirectory, although I’m not sure why you would need to redirect all the other blogs except the root one.

Finally looked into this; the Embedly plugin is using wrong code.
Open up embedly.php and replace this:

Thanks @r-a-y but it doesn’t seem to work. When I replace the function code in embedly.php with yours, I can’t seem to embed anything from the embedly list. It only displays the URL. I’ve tested this with a slideshare presentation.
