You know what? Try replacing the two filters I mentioned above with this:
add_filter( 'get_comment_text' , 'bp_activity_hashtags_filter' );add_filter( 'the_content', 'bp_activity_hashtags_filter' );(Edit: Brainfart! – re-update the filters again!) This will probably work on older blog posts and comments as well. I now understand why Rich saves…[Read more] -

Working for me in IE8.
Try deleting your temporary internet files. Or try a restart. Sometimes IE is screwy! 😉
Also, IE8’s InPrivate filter could be blocking your images. -

That’s to be expected. The two filters mentioned by Rich only apply to the activity stream. You could potentially add support to blog posts and comments, by adding the following to bp-custom.php:
add_filter( 'content_save_pre , 'bp_activity_hashtags_filter' );add_filter( 'pre_comment_content ', 'bp_activity_hashtags_filter' );This would take…[Read more] -

@nuprn1 – Sorry, I meant the xprofile value for “field_id” #1.
Hmm, could it be a problem with single WP / non-multisite?
It appears so! Looking into it! 😉
Okay issue fixed! Rolling out fix!

Hmm… can’t duplicate @fzncloud‘s problem.
Tried creating a new account with username “wttestbuddy” and display name “wt”. New registration activity lists “wttestbuddy”.
what version of the plugin are you running? v0.54 should have fixed this problem.

The only requirements for registration are: -Username -Email Address -Password -Display Name Apart from that, set all your other xprofile fields as “not required” on the “BuddyPress > Profile Field Setup” page. You might have to edit the /registration/register.php template file depending on how much you want to modify the look and feel of the […]

Changeset means that this is set for release in the next version. So in BP 1.2.5, you should see this (pending any bugs!).

r-a-y posted on the forum topic how to change settings page template in the group Creating & Extending: 15 years, 6 months ago
Settings page uses the /members/single/plugins.php template file.
Activity permalink uses /members/single/activity/permalink.php, which in turns uses /activity/entry.php.

I don’t have experience with that one, but it’s rather old.
The one I listed has been recommended by many. Though, things like FB avatars will not work out of the box; there’s a solution listed on the plugin author’s comment section.
