Does your problem occur when using the default BP theme? You might want to start a separate thread in order to avoid confusion.

Also, this begs the question… how did you change your username in the first place? Did you edit it through the DB or through a plugin?

@piphut – Try adding the following in wp-config.php:
define( 'BP_ENABLE_USERNAME_COMPATIBILITY_MODE', true );

It’s possible that “admin” is still used as your “user_nicename”.

This might not be a BuddyPress problem… might be good to try and troubleshoot your server setup.

Your forum topic template should be located in your theme’s groups/single/forum/topic.php.

Double-check your template file with the bp-default one and see if you’re not missing anything.

Forum posts rely on bp_the_topic_post_content(). If you’re not using that, then the oEmbed plugin doesn’t pick the content up.

@jillsays – The process should be identical.

First, you need a deep integrated bbPress install. There are a bunch of tutorials about this; try this one:

Then add the recreate_bb_admin_bar() function from here to your bbPress theme’s functions.php file:

Also try disabling any third-party plugins (including the Usernames only plugin)… see if your problem disappears.

@DJPaul – I’ve removed the filter I had on bp_member_name due to redundancy. Turns out I was already using a similar filter in place! Welcome Pack should be compatible with the Usernames Only plugin now.

@pjnu – Check any custom code you may have in your theme’s functions.php and in wp-content/plugins/bp-custom.php.

Add the CSS snippet to your WP theme’s stylesheet… not the default BP theme’s stylesheet.
