Create the style.css with the information found in the guide locally on your computer, then upload it to your /wp-content/themes/shuswapsocialnetwork/ directory.

Once you’ve done this, you should be able to select this new theme under “Appearance > Themes” in the WP admin area.

@hnla – try bp_is_directory() on the if(bp_is_register_page() … ) line.

gian-ava – You’re correct. Current friends do not get converted over to following / follower users. Might want to ping Andy about this.

Looks like it’s working, though you’ll need some knowledge of CSS to get it the way you want BP to look.

You only need to create a child theme if you’re making changes to the default BP theme.

If you’re using an existing WordPress theme, then only use the BuddyPress Template Pack plugin with your WordPress theme:

So you just want to list a bunch of blog links that the displayed user is a contributor to?

Blog roles were removed in BP 1.2.3 due to performance reasons. However, you might want to look for a WPMU-specific function for this.

Glad you figured it out.

What do you want to do? Make the registration page entirely blank? If so, just delete everything in “register.php”.

If you want to keep the header and footer, keep the get_header() and get_footer() lines, and delete everything else.

@holgria – Read my post again. I just edited it.

Copy over /bp-themes/bp-default/registration/register.php to /wp-content/themes/THE_AVENUEK9_THEME_DIR/registration/register.php.

Then open up register.php and make your changes there.
