Well…I hate to ask such seemingly infantile questions, but…

I have had wp-recaptcha working fine on the buddypress registration page on http://sportsblognet.com/sbn-start.php (WPMU 2.7/BP RC-1)

    now to the questions…

Did you apply for a wp-recaptcha Key?

Did you adjust the settings to work on the registration form? (check two boxes in the settings)

Did you place wp-recaptcha in mu-plugins?

I have had no problems and it worked “out-of-the-box” no core files needed to be edited.

I’m assuming you did all of these things, but the hacking of bp-core-signup.php was not necessary for me, so I had to confirm.

I think that the easiest way to do this would be to create a form (with cforms or some other plugin) with a title section, author section, tags and categories sections, and then obviously the body section and place it on a page specifically for posting, or on the front page (which ever you prefer) then place php code around it asking if the user is logged in.

If they are, then it will show the form and they can type (or paste) their post in and it gets sent to you in email and then you can post it, if they are not logged in, it can show a “You must be logged in to post” or something to that effect.

I had super-cache installed, with wpmu 2.7 and buddypress RC-1, and everything seemed to be working fine, except for I would get a 500 Internal Error on Wp-activate (when the new user clicks on the email link that is sent to them to activate the account). Everything else worked fine, wp-signup worked like a breeze, and all of my pages and posts were cached as they should be.

Once I uninstalled Super-Cache, wp-activate worked again fine. I uninstalled all of my mu-plugins (re-captcha, google analytics, buddypress redirect) and just put super cache and buddypress in there, and i still got the 500 internal error on wp-activate. When I removed it and added the others back in, everything works fine.

Any ideas? I’d love to have super cache working, but not at the expense of adding new members.
