I am also unable to create any groups on my installation. Details: 1. Ubuntu 10.04 fresh install dedicated to WPMU+BP only, on a corporate intranet. 2. Thank you for your help and replies. I added the define to my wp-config.php. That did not solve my problem. 1. I am trying to set up a new installation of WPMU+BP+LDAP for our corporate blog (internal, not connected to internet). WPMU+LDAP seems to work fine.
