I have a new community – http://postyourdeals.info
one of my members just reported that she receives a 404 error message when she reviews the gift that someone sent to her in this format http://postyourdeals.info/gifts?new but the gift can be seen in the members activity stream. How do I fix this?

I think even 15 is a bit too high. I’m about to use cube points on some of my communities and I’m going to set the values really low there because I do see how users can rack up points really quickly and if you’re offering them as incentives like I’m going to be, treat it as karma.

every time i try to upload an avatar for the test group there, it displays the action and then two non-clickable prompts – avatar crop, avatar preview. It doesn’t display the avatar I try to upload at all, and then at the bottom it shows a post command to crop the image. Click it and then nothing. Is it a permissions issue?

Go to the group page in BuddyPress (eg http://mydomain.com/groups/my-group) when logged in as a group admin or as the site administrator. Look for the Admin tab, and then for Group Avatar. Alternatively, go directly to http://mydomain.com/groups/my-group/admin/group-avatar

mine didn’t collapse – at least as far as I know. I haven’t checked out all my communities though

@boonebgorges you know how to fix it so that user uploaded images show up for groups and not just the dummy defaults? I saw that in effect on your website. Can you help me make that possible?

Do you mean group avatars? Have you gone to Group Admin > Update Avatar?

Edit your profile on your back dashboard, not your public profile. It will give you a list of nicknames. Select the one you want, and it should work fine

is all the software globally having issues? I’ve started over a dozen bp powered communities in the last month and I’m really not looking forward to logging into my dashboards and finding that some of the plugins I use to run some of my sites aren’t going to work. Oh, all the ways I’m not looking forward to managing my communities today.

No, I think we lost the links to the last forum posts re we replied to with this update. However, it’s now recording any future forum topics you are replying to. Go to your profile and choose forum replies from drop down on activity stream.
