I just transferred my Ning network to my Buddy Press installation on my domain. However, the outgoing notification email of the move had garbage for the username and password. I sent out another email suggesting that people use the “Lost Password” function. However, that doesn’t work, I get the error message:

I have this same problem with my BuddyPress installation. I searched these forums for the solution, if any, saw this and tried to apply it. I do not see the option for “Tick the box next to ‘membership – anyone can register’.”
