Hi,
I am using a 3rd party forum which uses its own profiling system. But I would like to link all the profiles and the relevant links towards buddypress.
Can someone tell me what the links are to the profiles? -

Why does a buddypress login widget’s profile link direct to WP core profile page? And this widget can be really really good with a little more effort in it. Seems like the developer made this just for the heck of it.
Needs some additions like edit profile link, a link which directs to buddypress profile.
I’m very unhappy because I was looking…[Read more] -

But why is it so hard to just get a ‘Forum’? I mean the first thing which comes in to 95% people’s minds is a proper stand alone forum where people can come, post and go. Why has Buddypress made things so complicated. Not trying to put down anyone, of course buddypress is one of […]

In wordpress, I have set my Permalinks to
/%category%/%postname%/Would that have any effect on my buddypress as well? How do I fix it though? 🙁
I cant really change the permalinks settings now as it will generate hundreds of 404 errors from search engines. -

I am new to Buddypress, just got it installed after long useless ‘mind blasting’ editing sessions and it works super. One thing which has been eating my head is the forum. I have installed the forum within Buddypress and have no idea how to get to the forum to be able to create categories/ forum […]

I have deactivated the template pack because the only thing I think it does it just makes sure the admin bar on top comes up fine. I have instead installed a plugin to remove it completely. But I kind of need help in adding the divs as I have no clue about this. I am […]

I am VERY, but I am a super n00b. I would really appreciate it if you can let me know about what needs to go where. Also, since I am using the buddypress template pack, which template file do I need to edit? The template which comes inside the buddypress directory or the template pack […]

I have been dying to get Buddypress template to integrate with my Studiopres Church 4 theme. I did install the buddypress template pack, but it is just the sidebar which appears underneath the main content.
Appears like this in my test page as of now. http://subhramani.com/members
I badly need help.

Exactly, there is no option to take the user to the Buddypress profile. Check out the “Sidebar Login” widget, that works.
@subhramani, just saw this here on buddypress. why not contact me with suggestions on my forum instead of complaining and giving a cruddy 2 star? I think that’s a bit harsh on your part… given I’m pretty proactive about replying to suggestions.
Also, we’ve got a templating system so if it bugs you that much, you can mould it to show whatever you want.
