Since courses are post types, you can use a custom template for your theme and query those with get_posts.

That’s probably the easiest way!

I suggest you start there.

Hmm, that depends a lot of BuddyPress not of Courseware.
So in theory: yes. I didn’t look into that too much.

Hmm, basically that can be done, by renaming group slug into classes.
And changing the translation file to return class instead of group.
